NasoTruss Advantage
NasoTruss is a comfortable, flexible airway support structure fashioned from pure Strataprene® for use after nasal septum and/or turbinate surgery. It’s mesh design allows the free flow of air, as well as the ability to freely irrigate the nostrils, after the procedure. This is crucial in minimizing complications and optimizing healing. The NasoTruss is designed to breakdown into small, soft fragments that are easily flushed out of the nose 2-3 weeks after surgery. This allows comfortable stabilization of the nasal structures for a long enough period of time to optimize healing.
Why Choose NasoTruss
Instantly Improved Breathing
Patients are able to see the immediate improvement in breathing after nasal procedures, rather than having a gradual, delayed improvement.
Bioabsorbable
The painful removal of alternative types of splints or packing material is eliminated. The NasoTruss fragments are easily flushed out of the nostrils.
Improved Ability to Irrigate
Nasal saline irrigation after nasal procedures is a critical component to optimizing healing. Irrigation is much easier with the open design of the NasoTruss than alternative splints or packing.
Longer Airway Stabilization
NasoTruss is designed to provide comfortable septum and turbinate stabilization for 2-3 weeks after surgery, to allow these structures to heal in the exact position the surgeon intended. Removal of nasal packing or splints earlier than 2-3 weeks could lead to movement of these structures back to their original shape and location.
